This coming year, 2011, the club will be involved in playing in, or organising, slightly more fixtures than last year.    The total will be about 87 fixtures.

The Ladies will once again play 14 League Fixtures but League fixtures for the Men have increased to 18 due to the expansion of the League.   There will also be 14 Men's Friendly Matches, 8 Ladies Friendly Matches and 23 Mixed Friendly Matches, two of which are against our regular touring sides - Berkhamstead and Cawston.   There are also 3 internal games (2 Ladies v Men's and the Captains v President) and 8 days on which all day competitions will be run.

We are pleased to host our first ever County Ladies match, when Sussex Ladies play against Hertfordshire Ladies on Tuesday 7th June whilst the Sussex Men's County team will return again this year, this time to play against a Devon Touring team on Thursday 26th May.   Finally there is an Inter Divisional Vice Presidents match being played on our green on Friday 1st July.  

The green will open on Saturday 16th April with a coffee morning at 10:00 am followed by a drive at 2:00 pm.   The season proper will commence with the Anniversary Cup - Ladies v Men - on Saturday 30th April, which will give as many bowlers as possible the chance to play in a competitive match before our first fixture on the following day home to Henfield.

Our Invitation Triples Competition will be held on 17th July, 2011 when we hope to once again have a full complement of our regular clubs competing for the trophy.

All in all quite a busy year which I am looking forward to!!
